Questions, Answered

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I really need an estate plan if I don’t have a large estate?+
Yes. An estate plan is about far more than taxes on large fortunes. It names who makes medical and financial decisions if you can’t, spares your family the cost and delay of probate, and makes sure your wishes — and your loved ones — are protected. Nearly every adult benefits from at least a basic plan.
What’s the difference between a will and a trust?+
A will directs where your assets go but generally still passes through probate, a public court process. A trust can let your assets pass privately and often more quickly, and it can manage assets for you during life if you become incapacitated. Many plans use both — we’ll recommend what fits your situation.
Will I actually work with an attorney?+
Yes. You work directly with attorney Logan Woodruff — not a paralegal or a call center. Your questions go straight to the person designing and drafting your plan.
Do you serve clients outside of Mesa?+
We’re based in Mesa and represent clients across all of Arizona. That’s especially helpful for families whose property, businesses, or loved ones span multiple counties.
How much does it cost to get started?+
Your initial consultation is free. It’s a no-obligation conversation about your goals so we can outline the right approach and give you clear, upfront information about next steps before you decide anything.
What should I bring to my free consultation?+
Just come as you are. If you have any existing estate documents, a rough list of your major assets, and thoughts on who you’d want to make decisions or inherit, those help — but they’re not required to get started.
